Alabama documents on its dashboard that the state's totals are unique people, but we had them stored in specimens because of (old) conflicting evidence received via outreach. We recently found social media posts from ADPH verifying that unique people was the correct interpretation. We are going to switch the state's timeseries to unique people. We will also switch totalTestResults to draw from unique people since it was previously drawing from specimens.

On 9/1, the number of tests has dropped 26,943, we think likely because of AL beginning to separate antibody and diagnostic test counts. We are counting antibody tests in the Total Antibody Tests (People) column. Additionally, AL's annotations now say that their diagnostic test number refers to unique individuals for both PCR and antigen tests. We've performed outreach on whether or not this is the case because this conflicts with a previous outreach.
