@cyborgnot @yayitsrob @ScottGottliebMD We're getting better estimates from the UW Virology lab. Will be more updates today. They are doing a lot of testing.

@ericlin @MikeIsaac @alexismadrigal Better now! See @ScottGottliebMD — but still unclear how much real, actual capacity there is. Testing criteria remain very strict

We have another governor stepping up to do the right thing and require laboratories to report positive and negative tests. This time it's @GovLarryHogan in Maryland. Executive order: https://t.co/EeUzOdXxsv

@somebadideas @DrLindaMD @JusticeInMed @jigneshpatelMD @DBelardoMD @DrEricDing @alexismadrigal @CMichaelGibson @mirvatalasnag I will say that this is very tough tracking to do, in part because of the emotional toll of going through these stories. It would be best to find a good gov’t dataset where reporting is required.-@alexismadrigal

Small data entry issue with our Maryland numbers. Stand by for a quick fix to the API.

October 16, 2020, 3:52 PM PDT

Note for our API users: Maryland is switching their totalTestResults unit from positive+negatives to directly reported total specimens. This will result in the totalTestResults date starting on 3/24 instead of 3/5. The previous figure can still be found in the API.
