Describe the problem State reports Probables back to 5/21/20. Using calculation of Positive - Positive Cases (PCR), all Probables match screenshots with the exception of 5/21/20. On 5/21/20, the Lab Confirmed and Total Positive numbers are transposed, but the difference equals the Probables number. Patched the numbers for 5/21/20 to address the transposition.

#734: [KY] Unresolved #REF! errors for KY Total Tests (PCR)
Issue number 734
zachlipton opened this issue on August 4, 2020, 9:52 PM PDT

State or US: KY
Describe the problem
A number of Total Tests (PCR)
fields for KY in States Daily display #REF!
instead of the expected value. Looks like it happened for all dates 20200512
and earlier.
A search of States Daily for REF!
has 61 results. The formula in these cells is just =#REF!+#REF!
Comments
I'm guessing this occurred in the process of addressing #730
The bad refs in KY was a formula that got moved too many cells to the left.
Pre/post revert to numbers and placing them in the correct column, without formulas this time: States Daily.zip

Describe the problem On 8/3, we discovered that we're currently reporting total PCR tests (specimens) in the Total PCR Tests (People) column. This is reflected in our SVP sheet and in 6/16 and 6/30 outreaches.
We need to:
- Change popup notes
- Copy over the values from
Total PCR Tests (People)
intoTotal Tests (PCR)

#518: Recent Data Anomalies in KY and other states
Issue number 518

However, I have noticed in recent data pulls (over the past week or so) that there are some highly unusual (implausible) values for certain states during early-mid March. For example, KY goes from having 8 positive cases as of March 12, thousands of positive cases March 13-15, then back to 21 positive cases as of March 16. There are a number of other states with similar strange jumps in the number of positive tests (as well as decreases in the number of negative tests) in early-mid March.
These problems were not present in earlier datasets that I had downloaded from your site (e.g. on May 6). Do you know what happened to explain these unusual values?
