Question

Hello, we have been comparing the data we’ve compiled from states and territories against the federal government data, and noticed that the CDC (https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#cases) has 4 cases listed for American Samoa (3 added on November 9, 2020 and 1 added on February 13, 2021). Is American Samoa considering these as cases?

Additionally, we used to take the total tests completed in American Samoa from the Emergency Declarations, but the testing total is no longer included. Could we get an updated total of testing for COVID-19 in American Samoa?

We submitted outreach about a total tests (specimens) number we found on shift. We had been reporting tests in people units. We were also unsure if the new number was cumulative: https://www.samoanews.com/local-news/first-responder-testing-nears-completion-all-came-back-negative
