September 17, 2020: CTP first reported Puerto Rico’s long-term care data. October 29, 2020: Puerto Rico has not reported new long-term data since October 18, 2020. Data is carried over to the most recent collection date. January 7, 2021: Puerto Rico reported resident and staff cases for the first time since November 1, 2020 in a comprehensive report at the end of the 2020 calendar year. Previous case data separated out staff and resident cases based solely on PCR test results, but this new data combines staff and resident cases from various testing methods. Puerto Rico also released cumulative resident deaths which we were able to draw from and backfill that information. This change is reflected in our dataset. January 14, 2021: Puerto Rico has resumed weekly reporting which does not include an update on total staff and resident cases, nor updates on resident deaths. Moving forward we will carry the case and death totals from January 7, 2021 and update the cumulative number of facilities affected as per the weekly report.
